About Tufalabs
We are a small, independent research group working on fundamental AI research. The plan is to first solve the ARC benchmark, then use that to secure more funding, and move on to more difficult benchmarks. The research topics we want to investigate next are test-time compute, active inference, LLM-based reasoning and system2 reasoning. The ultimate goal is to do cool AI research leading up to AGI. The lab has acquired the MindsAI team recently, which is pioneering techniques such as fine-tuning models on synthetic data, test-time-training, and test-time-finetuning.
Job Description
Full-time onsite position in Zurich. We are hiring senior research engineers to work on arc-agi 3 and related AI research initiatives. The team values deep passion for AI research, openness to reading AI papers and pursuing side AI projects. Responsibilities include contributing to high-impact academic-style AI research and large-scale LLM development, helping push the frontier of AI science, and supporting pre- and post-training of cutting-edge language models with emphasis on alignment and safety. We offer a generous equity structure and sponsorship for EU nationals (visa sponsorship limited to EU nationality). The position requires onsite work in Zurich. The lab operates with substantial compute resources (6× DGX B200, 2× NVL72 GB300 incoming). We are self-funded and foster a live-to-work culture.
