2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to data processed through www.hacker-careers.com and any sub-domains or services that link to it. Where an individual Parklife product displays its own privacy notice, that notice supersedes this one for that product.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Log & device data - IP address, user-agent, timestamps, referrer URL.
  • Usage analytics - page views, clicks, search queries collected via first-party cookies and third-party tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PostHog).
  • Cookie & local-storage IDs - session token, CSRF token, preferences.

3.3 Information from third parties

  • Authentication providers - profile photo, display name, public-profile URL (Google, GitHub).
  • Payment processor - Stripe supplies transaction status, last four digits of card, card type, expiry, and downloadable invoice PDFs.

Service providers act only on our instructions and under a data-processing agreement.

7. International Transfers

All primary infrastructure is located in the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on SCCs or equivalent legal mechanisms and apply supplementary safeguards as needed.

Statutory retention. Certain jurisdictions obligate us to retain specific tax, accounting, and anti-money-laundering records for up to ten (10) years after a transaction or account closure. We keep only the minimum data required and erase or anonymise it once the statutory period ends.

Users can delete their Hacker Careers account at any time from the account settings page; residual data is wiped or anonymised within 30 days, except where statutory retention applies.

10. Your Rights

Subject to local law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Deletion rights may be limited where we must retain data for legal record-keeping duties (see § 9).

We do not sell personal information. You may request disclosure, deletion, or to opt-out of cross-context behavioural advertising.

11. Age Restrictions

The Platform is intended for adults 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-app. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision.
