Job Description

Join River's Elixir engineering team as a Staff Software Engineer. You will contribute to real-time Bitcoin and USD payments, trading and settlement on an Elixir monolith with a unified GraphQL API; contribute to next-generation Bitcoin custody with quorum signing and geo-redundant infrastructure; help scale ML/AI systems (Python, PyTorch, XGBoost, LLMs) to automate operations and tackle fraud/risk; participate in a ground-up React and React Native rewrite of the consumer app; port Lightning Network infrastructure from Go into Elixir. This is a hands-on senior role building robust, scalable systems at a profitable, Bitcoin-focused fintech.
