Job Description
IBM Research Boston is seeking early-career Research Engineers to contribute to the co-design of software harnesses and LLMs, focusing on small/medium open-model space. The role is collaborative with Granite model training and aims to deliver impactful work in LLM-enabled software systems. Responsibilities include implementing and evaluating prototypes, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and exploring engineering approaches to LLM integration. Requirements: interest in LLMs and one of programming languages, formal methods, or compilers; Rust experience is a plus; familiarity with formalizations in rocq/lean or similar is a plus but not required. This is an early-career role; applicants at entry-level or with recent postdoc experience are encouraged to apply.Remote Conditions
Hybrid: 3 days in office; location flexibility with Boston preferred but NYC/SF possible
