Job Description

Lead Product Engineer role focused on building AREO's product features and leading backend engineering. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and shipping features in Ruby on Rails 8.x stack with StimulusJS/Hotwire/Turbo, AlpineJS, PostgreSQL, Docker, DigitalOcean, OpenAPI, and exploring LLM integrations; mentoring junior developers; collaborating with product, design, and customer success; owning parts of the product and helping shape the technical roadmap. Requirements: 8+ years of software engineering experience, startup background preferred, strong problem-solving abilities; German language skills highly preferred. This is a fully remote role within Europe. Equity is offered. Perks include flat hierarchies, no-ego environment, and a lean but experienced team.
