You would work closely together with the founders and take over the technical direction for our data systems end-to-end. Team is ex-D.E. Shaw, Optiver, and Stanford. Job Description
We are a remote-first, bootstrapped energy forecasting and trading company seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the data platform end-to-end. You will work closely with the founders to set technical direction for data systems, ingesting messy data (market, generator, weather, outage) and building models to forecast it. Requirements: 4+ years shipping and maintaining software; strong Python skills; experience with multiprocessed and HPC workloads; excellent written communication in a deep-work, async environment. Nice to have: data lake / Parquet architectures; Rust (especially PyO3 extensions). Remote-first; in-person meetings several times a year.
