Job Description

VALIS builds data products for scrap metal recyclers. We are hiring an engineer to build our next product line: a production tracking and analytics platform for recycling plants, extended from our existing product. You will ideate, build, deploy, and own features that model a complex physical process, create agentic features that surface trends, flag anomalies, and notify the right people. You will work directly with customers (operators and plant managers) with regular calls and occasional site visits. Requirements include 3+ years of experience, strong data modeling fundamentals, and a demonstrated ability to own ambiguous problems end to end. Recycling, ERP/MES, or physical ops software experience is a plus. Tech stack: React/TypeScript, C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, AWS.
