Platform engineer to own the AWS infrastructure behind Placekey, Senzing's location-data subsidiary. Day one: cloud/platform role owning the operational health of Placekey's production API service at scale, post-migration hardening, and input on future infra. Over time, responsibilities expand to internal IT and systems (Active Directory, endpoint provisioning, Tailscale, security). Stack includes EKS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, Cloudflare, API gateway (Kong/AWS), Terraform, Grafana/CloudWatch/Datadog. Apps are Scala and Rust. Requirements: 5+ years platform/cloud infra experience, production Kubernetes (EKS preferred), managed Postgres (backup/recovery/tuning), IaC, solid networking, strong Python/Bash. You don't need to be an expert on IT/systems today, but should want to grow into it. Location: Remote anywhere in the USA.
