Job Description

Senior/Staff Python Engineer for Ro's patient experience and core teams. You’ll own projects end-to-end—from problem framing and architecture to shipping incremental improvements, measuring impact, and iterating. Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams. Responsibilities: lead critical initiatives end-to-end with team members; make pragmatic architecture decisions focusing on observability, performance, and correctness; coach/lead through influence with reviews, design docs, and setting standards; ship in small slices with measurable outcomes (not big-bang rewrites). Stack: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Redis, Kafka/queues, Docker/Kubernetes, observability tooling.
