Job Description

Mechanical design of robotic arms and manipulators: joints, actuators, transmissions, end effectors. Optimize for torque density, backdrivability and stiffness; prototype with additive manufacturing and precision machining; take assemblies to production. GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, SolidWorks (or Creo/NX/Onshape). Hands-on work on real robot hardware (arms, grippers, mobile manipulators, actuated joints). For all three roles, relocation to NYC within the US is supported. Visa sponsorship is not available. Responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of a subsystem on physical robots as part of Nirvana’s hardware team.
