Proxima Fusion is hiring a
Senior Software Engineer (Dev Platform)

About Proxima Fusion

We're building the world's first commercial stellarator fusion power plant. First spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, based on Wendelstein 7-X (the largest stellarator ever built), €650M+ raised, teams in Munich, Zurich and Oxford.

Job Description

Role focuses on building the compute platform for stellarator design: cloud + HPC clusters, Kubernetes, Ray, Dask, CI/CD, IaC, and the platform work around it. You’ll sit directly next to the physicists and AI researchers burning through compute, so you’ll see exactly what your infrastructure unlocks. Technologies include Python and Linux. If you’ve wanted to point your platform engineering skills at something that actually matters, clean, abundant energy, this is about as direct a shot as it gets, and it’s happening in Europe. Interview process: recruiter call, technical screen, technical panel, CEO call.
