Job Description
PrairieLearn is an open-source assessment platform used by universities across the US. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will own features across the stack with meaningful ownership from day one. Tech you’ll work with includes Node.js/TypeScript backend, Postgres, AWS, and React. The team is building AI tooling, including LLM agents to help instructors create content and vision-language models to assist grading. This is an early-stage role at a small, profitable company. Location: Remote (US only). Salary: $100k-$140k depending on experience. Benefits: stock options (0.5% - 1.5%), unlimited PTO, flexible hours. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
