Job Description

OptTek is seeking a senior scientific analyst/developer with great technical skills and strong experience in creating tools and performing analysis related to mathematical, statistical, AI/ML, simulation, and analytical applications. The position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional capable of both independent and small team performance on a variety of algorithm, optimization, simulation, and software related tasks. The position will be mainly focused on supporting our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer with 3-4 days a week onsite at the customer facility in Colorado Springs, CO working in a team environment. Qualifications include an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, five or more years of professional experience, and experience with metaheuristics, mathematical programming, and AI/ML.
