Job Description

Summer internship on a tiny team building a field-service-management platform for AES, the environmental-test-chamber manufacturer. The product is pre-production with active user feedback; you will ship features used by service coordinators and field technicians. The bar is not raw coding ability; Claude Code powers all code generation. You will direct an AI at production engineering and catch it when it’s wrong: schema literacy, diff-reading, end-to-end ownership. Stack: Next.js 14 (App Router, RSC, Server Actions), TypeScript strict, Prisma + PostgreSQL, Tailwind + shadcn/ui, NextAuth, Twilio, Anthropic SDK, Playwright. Approximately 100K lines of TS with any banned by lint. Must-haves: a track record building with AI tools (link your best AI-built work — a PR, a deployed project, or a repo, ideally with a CLAUDE.md), at least one shipped end-to-end project that runs for external users, schema/data-flow literacy, clear written communication, strong academic record. TypeScript fluency not required from scratch. Eligibility: US person, able to pass standard background check. We can’t sponsor visas or hire F-1/OPT for this role. Logistics: 20–40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri, remote with occasional in-person days at AES Chelmsford MA or our coworking space in Waltham MA. W-2, paid hourly. Apps close June 8. No leetcode. No whiteboard.
