Edge Impulse is the top developer platform for edge AI, similar to HuggingFace but for models that process sensor data on the edge. They have a large and active community of hundreds of thousands of developers and were recently acquired by Qualcomm, who have a vision for bringing AI within reach of every embedded engineer.

EdgeDB is an open-source database built on top of Postgres, designed to give developers a better end-to-end user experience than traditional SQL databases. It offers a more expressive schema modeling & query language (EdgeQL), built-in schema migrations, a graphical schema browser, data explorer, and access control/auth. They provide a hosted cloud service aimed at developer-friendly cloud hosting.

We are a team of ~20 people, building open source software to make confidential computing more usable. Our products span unusually far across the tech stack, starting at measured boot, through Kubernetes operators, finishing somewhere in our JavaScript frontend.

At Edra we built a new, proprietary method of learning that allows LLMs to understand and automate business processes. Founded by Eugen and Yannis, former co-heads of Forward Deployed AI Engineering at Palantir. We believe that as we get closer to AGI, the ability to teach models what you want them to do will become the key bottleneck in deployment to enterprises, and traditional training approaches won’t cut it. We named the company Edra for “the seat of the teacher”. Edra AI is a novel learning system, deployed with several customers and are looking to scale up. Backed by top-tier investors from the Palantir ecosystem with offices in New York and London.
