Job Description

Two roles available at Splash Tech: Backend Engineer and DevOps Engineer. Backend Engineer: 5+ years of backend development; strong in backend work, ideally Java, but open to those willing to learn. You’ll be expected to do DevOps as part of this role. Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and SQL is beneficial. You should be able to think product-first, take a task from idea to production, write your own code (AI assistance allowed, but you must produce all work independently; no Cursor). SQL-first approach to DB work and the ability to sketch simple architecture/flow diagrams to explain ideas. Stack includes Java, Python, TypeScript, Angular, SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, Trino, Flux, Flagger, and Terraform.
