Job Description

The Sending Pipeline team at Mailgun is responsible for the 'bread and butter' of the company, which is an Email API. The team handles email ingestion, storage, processing, and delivery, along with supporting product functionality such as mailing lists, tracking, domains, inbound routes, etc. The system handles close to 2 billion emails daily, using Golang across microservices. Other technologies include MongoDB, Cassandra, Kafka, Nomad, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Github. The focus is on product enhancement, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. This is a distributed team of 5, emphasizing ownership, accountability, and autonomy. Responsibilities include development, testing, deployments, monitoring, and improvements. The team is fun and collaborative, with a remote culture in place since pre-covid.
