Job Description

Senior Engineer to own the mobile + backend stack end-to-end and set the technical foundation for scale. Responsibilities span architecture, mobile, backend, and infra; maintain engineering quality bar. Small team with high ownership; direct access to the CEO. Stack: React Native + TypeScript, GCP, CI/CD. Requirements: 7+ years professional experience, including real 0-to-1 or early-stage work; shipped mobile apps (ideally React Native); strong backend experience with APIs and data models from scratch; comfortable owning architecture; self-directed in ambiguous, early-stage environment. This is a contract (1099) role at 40 hours/week. Chicago preferred for in-person time with the CEO; remote (US) considered.
