Job Description

Confido Legal is hiring a senior software engineer to own security across the platform while remaining an active product contributor. You’ll lead PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 2 compliance, drive secure-by-default architecture, harden our AWS infrastructure, reduce vulnerability noise, and embed security into every stage of the product lifecycle. You’ll participate in customer security reviews and incident response alongside engineering leadership. This is not a standalone security department role; you’ll continue to write code, review PRs, and shape architecture while owning security. Stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, AWS (Pulumi IaC), Docker, ECS. We’re a small, high-ownership engineering team where engineers lead domains (security, underwriting, growth) while continuing to build product daily. Salary: $175k–$225k. Fully remote (US).
