Note: This is a single Lead Software Engineer position. We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own all technical decisions and drive the evolution of our enterprise-grade, white-label reporting infrastructure for municipal governments across North America. Responsibilities include making full technical decisions; maintaining multi-tenant cloud architecture with data residency requirements; building and enforcing compliance framework (SOC 2, PIPEDA, MFIPPA) relevant to Canadian municipal procurement; leading technical hiring as the team grows; shipping production systems with strict uptime and compliance; evaluating AI-generated code and architectural decisions; representing the technical platform when engaging with government IT evaluators. Qualifications: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or backend engineering with direct exposure to multi-tenant architecture, data residency, and uptime SLA commitments; hands-on with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PIPEDA, or equivalent regulated environments; comfortable inheriting and improving an existing TypeScript / Node.js / PostgreSQL codebase; located in Toronto or willing to relocate; founder-level equity offered.
