Job Description

Owner of the malware and greyware scanning engine in Chainguard Repository. Responsible for roadmapping detection coverage, scanner accuracy (precision/recall trade-offs), and surfacing findings to security teams with policy-enforcement integration. Works closely with detection engineering and threat research teams, and with customers who ask how you know a package is safe. Prior experience with detection, fraud, spam, or security scanning systems is a good fit. Hands-on with data and FP/FN trade-offs; focus on secure software supply chain for open source dependencies.
